Celebrating the Backbone of Our Communities: Caregivers
When people talk about mental health, caregivers are often left out of the conversation.
Yet caregivers are the unsung heroes—juggling doctor’s appointments, emotional labor, transportation, medications, and full-time care for loved ones. Many do all this while working jobs, raising families, and holding themselves together.
That’s why this May, for Mental Health Awareness Month, HueVine Empowers has teamed up with the Southeastern Regional Collaborative (SRC) to pour back into caregivers with an event that’s joyful, restorative, and needed: the Caregiver Brunch & Bingo.
A Wellness Event That’s More Than a Moment
The brunch takes place Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Detroit People’s Food Co-Op, 8324 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI.
From 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, caregivers can enjoy an open-house style event complete with food, fun, prizes, community—and peace.
But this isn’t just about brunch. It’s part of a larger experience.
Introducing the Caregiver Glow-Up: A 30-Day Game
In the weeks leading up to the brunch, caregivers are invited to join the Caregiver Glow-Up, a free 30-day self-care game created by HueVine.
Participants complete simple but meaningful self-care actions—like journaling, affirmations, hydration, or rest—to fill up their digital bingo-style boards. The goal is to recharge, glow up, and unlock rewards that celebrate every step forward.
